Should you stop some one from jumping off a building or a bridge? Should tell people that drugs and alcohol can are addictive? Should you warn people tell them that sex with multiple partners can lead to STD's and even to your death?
Should we tell our children it is wrong too lie steal and be jealous of what others have? Is it evil to say adultery is wrong and that it hurts everyone not just the two people in the act? Is it wrong too say that murder is done for a preconceived gain weather personal or financial, that it is a thought out choice one acts upon after much planning and consideration?
__________________PROBLEM________________________
All would rather be told what it god says by well-trained ministers, who pass a physiological test to be as none-offending and all accepting as is possible. Then there are those who take it upon themselves too be saviors of the whole world. Who find solace in telling everyone they are headed for some form of hell.
Calling themselves Christians claiming too follow the word of god they point fingers and accuse everyone yet ever look at themselves. If they followed the word they would be doing an oddity then for they would be silent and policing their own. For one rule they forget the more one fights one perceived Amen the more them they become.
_________________ THE RESULTS__________________
We are now faced with a congress and a house that have started debate on a special hate crimes bill which when passed will in effect out law reading distribution and even public reading of the book.
No longer will there be that carefully crafted wall separating church and state; for the state will in effect have torn it down that wall in order to placate and justify life styles and actions once called immoral and in humane. Acts that were once called abnormal.
Why, because some have take their ideals and attempted to force feed them to groups and individuals who are happy just as they are and who just want to be left alone.
If they come too your home and ask speak if not live what you think and show that in your life style, the core of what they claim is love of their fellow man, that love is not displayed when you are in the street yelling and screaming at each other.
Also over these last forty years, the shift to toleration ,the teachings of tolerance have advanced with an odd side effect that being all things are acceptable and good except the teaching of moral absolutes.
We have allowed this for we believe in freedom of speech and we once believed in freedom of religion. So much so that It is very idea of freedom that is to be our downfall. For we have elected men and women of little or no moral character on the silly notion that all are men and women will do the right thing and besides we all lie cheat and steal. Well do not we?.
We have forgotten that liberty is not certain and when a people are unwilling to fight or stand up for that freedom, calloused selfish men will take it away men,and women who labor under the flag of none offending, all accepting,we feel so we can tell you how to live. For they do not judge they do exclude they welcome all too get their position and power. It is after they have achieved the objective that they show the true nature of their way.
Sadly by then it is too late for anything too be done.

We have stopped, we no longer teach our children the founding principals of our nation, we point to a yellowed paper under glass and say it gives us rights but never do they take the time in schools to read these words or discuss the ideals expressed in them.
For if we read, once we were a people who could speak openly. We would see we have lost liberty, trade the pursuit of happiness for the promise of some form of safety from a government that says it will protect.
